The hot coolant flows from the engine to the heater core, which is located inside the car's dash. We replace heater cores often in most vehicles. A fan (the same one used by the air conditioner) blows air through the heater core, with the heated air then passing through the car's vents and warming the inside of your vehicle.
The air-conditioning system in a car works by manipulating refrigerant between a liquid and a gaseous state. As the refrigerant changes states, it absorbs heat and humidity from the vehicle and allows the system to give off cool, dry air. There is may parts to replace on an A/C system. Parts such as compressor, lines, o-rings, condensors and other parts many times go bad and need to be replaced. We ca check your system with a dye for a leak, if there is a leak the refrigerant will leak out and make the system blow hot.
A/C test on our vehicles are checked with Dye to find a leak.
Replacing the heater core in a vehicle takes a lot of time because it is normally located under the dash near the firewall.
